State College honored during ceremony

State College Field Hockey had their District 6 Championship Ceremony tonight following practice and postseason players were recognized (a list of the postseason players attached). State College Field Hockey will go on to the District 3 Quarterfinals tomorrow afternoon on Wed. 11/3. State College (8) will play Lower Dauphin (1) at 3:45 pm. District 3 Bracket 2020.

Head Coach Sharon Herlocher said, “We are excited to be District 6 Champions. Sure, we won in an untraditional way, but that’s 2020. We really miss the on-field experience of playing Mifflin Co and the true grit and healthy competition that game always brings out.”

“This championship is a result of the perseverance, sacrifice, and dedication of our entire school and field hockey community. In July, we hoped to be able to simply practice. Today, we won a championship and are preparing for another game. All the roadblocks and pivoting 2020 has brought us, has made us stronger and ready for what’s ahead.”
