State College tops Cedar Cliff in field hockey a tion

State College came out strong controlling much of the play against the visiting Cedar Cliff Colts. The goals began to come in the second quarter when the State College penalty corner team converted. Leah Moyer emphatically hit the backboard after collecting the pass from a driving Hannah Garlin. Five minutes later, Sydney O’Donnell picked up her 6th assist of the season finding Joelle Bartlett in front of the goal ready to score. This was Bartlett’s second game winning goal of the season. Late in the third quarter, the visiting Colts cut through the Little Lions defense finishing with a goal to cut the lead in half. State College kept their poise and regained control of the play in the fourth with the help of their cheering fans through the end of a hard fought game to secure the victory.
State College is now 10-3 and 8-2 in the Mid-Penn Conference Commonwealth division.
