State ranked Hershey too much for Huskies

HERSHEY – Playing against a state ranked Hershey team, a short-handed MIfflin County boys basketball team battled tough but could not pull out the victory Tuesday night, falling 71-41.
Leading the Huskies offense was Cade Penepacker with 14.
Hershey’s Matthew DeDonatis finished with a game-high 15 points.
He was followed on the scoring list by Jack Argento and Garrett Burys with a 13-point and 12-point effort, respectively.
Rounding out the Trojan double-digit scorer was Drew Colman with 11.
Turnovers were the Huskies Achilles heel on the night as Hershey used it to its advantage early, outscoring the Huskies 15-6 after one period.
Hershey started to add to its first quarter lead as it continued playing a tough man-to-man defense that kept the MIfflin County offense from any good looks at the bucket, outscoring the Huskies 19-9 in the period.
Going into the intermission, the Huskies trailed 34-15.
Offensively, the Huskies came out and tried to make a statement, cutting the lead to only 13 before Hershey would answer back.
Facing a tough full court press all evening was too much for the Huskies offense, falling 71-41.
