Thursday results: Bellefonte XC wins three of four in Thursday race

Thursday the Bald Eagle and Bellefonte cross country teams renewed acquaintances while also battling Laurel Highlands foe Tyrone.

On the girls’ side, the Lady Eagles topped Bellefonte 27-29 while the Red Raiders topped Tyrone 26-29

Addy Fry and Natalie Jolley finished second and third overall in 22:49 and 22:50 for the Lady Raiders. Rounding out the top six were Emily Moretz in 26:38, Haddie Lutz in 26:44, Molly Showers in 28:59 and Megan Showers in 29:16.

“The BAMS XC team took the talents to Tyrone w/BEA and ran for the hill of it! Bowen Williams led the way in 13:13 while Grady Stringer gave chase in 13:30. Rounding out the team were Jackson Wells in 16:11

Austin Brumbaugh in 18:03,” said Bellefonte coach Kim Gasper. “For the girls, Alissa Kyte-Yech led the way in 15:28 followed by Emma Crater in 16:57 and Zoe Musser in 17:07. Rounding out the top 6 were Sydney Smth in 17:48, Ava Burns in 19:08 and Olivia Menna in 19:38. The teas will be back in action this Saturday at Oak Hall Regional Park (Boalsburg). 

 It would be a Bellefonte sweep in the boys’ side as the Red Raiders topped Bald Eagle Area 18-43 and posted a 20-37 victory over the Golden Eagles.

For Bellefobte Maverick Muchmore crossed the line first in 17:41 followed by Jonathan Gasper in 18:06 and Carson Fritchman in 18:14. Rounding out the Raider squad were Gunther Kull in 19:14, Ethan Karmelita in 20:50, Kaiden Musser in 21:29, Braeden Musser in 22:23 and Phoenix Torres in 23:53.
