Tigers boys basketball team topped by Halifax

In a Tuesday Tri-Valley League contest, the Halifax boys basketball team topped East Juniata in a high scoring 67-61 contest.

Leading the way for the Tigers was Billy Dressler’s 25-point effort.

Xavier Clement followed up with a 17-point night while teammate Tanner Barth rounded out the double-digit scorers with 14 points.

Halifax started off with the upper hand, outscoring East Juniata 18-13.

East Juniata bounced back in the second quarter by a 19-15 margin.

When the two went into the intermission, Halifax led 33-32.

In the third, Halifax would outscore the Tigers by a 15-13 margin.

As the final stanza, the Tigers were able to post 16 but Halifax would score 19, giving them the victory.
