Tough night for Juniata matmen as they fell to Upper Dauphin

On Wednesday night, the Juniata Wrestling team traveled to Upper Dauphin in Tri-Valley League wrestling action.

In the end, Upper Dauphin won 48-21 over the Indians.

At 285, Upper Dauphin’s Elijah Latshaw picked up the forfeit.

106-pounder Juniata’s Casey Smith picked up a hard 8-2 decision over Jonah Peterson.

Juniata notched a win at 113 when Taylor Smith pinned Noah Smith by Fall at 1:32.

At 120, Upper Dauphin’s Jordan Peiffer won by forfeit.

Juniata battled back at 126 when Cameron Sweigart picked up a forfeit win for his team.

132-pounder Tye Jabs muscled out a 9-3 win over Marcus Tapper.

Upper Dauphin’s 138-pounder Konner Walker took a forfeit win as did 145-pounder Brady Morgan.

152: Alex Hepler (UDAH) over Josh Bomberger (JUHS) (Fall 5:36)

Upper Dauphin took the 160-pound weight class when Matthew Latshaw pinned Noe Montesinos at 1:19.

172-pounder Collin Dreibelbis gave Upper Dauphin the win with a pin  over Kobe Bonnell at 5:04.

At 189, Upper Dauphin’s Sean Wenrick gave his team another forfeit win.

Rounding out the night at 215, Juniata’s Jonathan Kauffman battled for a 5-4 decision over Dillon Johns.
