Updated response from MC about fall sports season

courtesy of MIfflin County Athletic Department
According to the Governor’s Guidance for All Sports Permitted to Operate During the COVID-19 Disaster Emergency to Ensure the Safety and Health of Employees, Athletes and the Public “Visitors and spectators are prohibited from attending in-person sports-related activities”. (https://www.governor.pa.gov/covid-19/sports-guidance/).  To comply with this mandate, the Mifflin County School District will not permit parking or standing on school district property for the purposes of watching sporting events.  Failure to comply may result in a “Defiant Trespass Notice” being issued by the MCSD.

While we understand the frustrations that can result from this mandate, we ask that you please comply to give our student-athletes the most opportunities to compete.  We want to try to ensure a successful and healthy fall season for all of our student-athletes and coaches.  In addition, we will be live streaming Home Varsity events for the following sports:  Cross Country, Field Hockey, Football, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Tennis and Volleyball.  These will be available to view via our MCTV YouTube Channels.  More information will be available prior to the first contest.

Thank you for your continued support of MC Athletics!  Go Huskies!
