Wednesday results: Wyatt Parkes Drives In 4 To Lead Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies Past Bald Eagle Area JV

Wyatt Parkes drove in four runs on three hits to lead Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies past Bald Eagle Area JV 18-0 on Wednesday. Parkes singled in the fourth scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and singled in the fourth scoring one.

Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies won thanks in part to 13 runs in the fourth inning. Parkes singled, scoring one run, Carson Cherry doubled, scoring three runs, Jude Zook singled, scoring one run, Camden Kauffman singled, scoring three runs, Thad Gerwick singled, scoring one run, Parkes singled, scoring two runs, Cherry doubled, scoring one run, and Gatlin Kauffman singled, scoring one run.

Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies got on the board in the top of the first inning after Parkes singled down the left field line, Bald Eagle Area JV committed an error, Bald Eagle Area JV committed an error, Bald Eagle Area JV committed an error, and Kauffman grounded into a fielder’s choice, each scoring one run.

Liam Shaffer stepped on the hill first for Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one. W Stimer opened the game for Bald Eagle Area JV. The hurler surrendered six hits and 12 runs (one earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking four.

Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies tallied 12 hits in the game. Gerwick collected two hits for Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies in three at bats. Noah Wolfkiel paced Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Kooper Walters stole two bases. Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game. Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Cherry had the most chances in the field with six.

Woodward and Bucha each collected one hit for Bald Eagle Area JV.

Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies play at home on Thursday against Central Mountain Junior Varsity Wildcats in their next game.
