Wilde honored for his 50 years of dedication to local Babe Ruth organization

MILROY – After all the celebration of the Mifflin County 13-year olds Babe Ruth State Championship, the stage went to a living legend in the World of Babe Ruth, historian, Lewistown Sentinel and board member, Ray Wilde.

The humble and personable Babe Ruth ambassador was honored at home plate for his 50 years of service to the organization.

Wearing his Mifflin County baseball cap and his always present smile, Wilde took the award from Gary Stimely, President of the League.

It would be a day of deserved celebration to such a great lover of Babe Ruth baseball and the sport itself.
