Yeagertown captures third place in MC Majors Super Series Third place game

Wilson’s Meats and Yeagertown met in the MIfflin County Major League Super Series third place contest Monday at Frank Pupo Memorial Field.

The game was a rollercoaster of momentum but in the end, Yeagertown raised their hands as the third place winner, topping Wilson’s in a 15-5 contest.

Wilson’s started off with the advantage, posting four runs in the top of the first.

Lucas Hartung led off with a single. He stole second.

With one out, Bo Benny poked a single into right, scoring Hartung.  He also stole second to set things up for teammate Jet Powell.

Powell joined Benny on base as he took one for the team, putting runners on the corners.

Colin Busch smacked a 2RBI single to right field.

Busch later scored, upping it to a quick 4-0 lead.

Yeagertown was kept off the scoreboard in the bottom of the inning, sending it into the second as a 4-0 lead for Wilson’s Meats.

In the second, Wilson’s added another run.

David Snyder scored after walking and stealing both second and third, upping the lead to a 5-0 tally.

But in the bottom of the inning, the Yeagertown offense bounced back in a big way, plating seven and taking the lead for the first time.

With one out, Asher Pearce got things chugging along with a single.

Ben Moore followed with a single of his own.

Teammate Eli Henderson loaded the bases with a walk.

Jack Curry reached on an error that would score Pearce and Moore making it a 5-2 contest.

Jaxon Strohecker blasted a 2RBI single to close the gap to just one run.

When the dust settled, Yeagertown took the lead at 7-5.

From there Yeagertown continued its hot hitting as it posted three in the fourth and five in the fifth, taking the contest 15-5.
