Yoder: Four Trojans selected to All-Stars!

MOUNT UNION – As the Trojans prepare for their District 6 semi-final match up against Moshannon Valley this coming Saturday. Mount Union is celebrating four of its players who were named to the ICC East All-Stars.

Three of those players were named to the first team. The first being named to the all-stars is Davin Yocum. Yocum leads his team in ERA with a 1.92, the senior also compiled a batting average of .200 with a double and five RBIs.

Next on the list is Dylan Shawver who has already committed to RPI to play baseball next year. Shawver is second on the team in batting average going .384 at the plate. Shawver also is a big part on the mound for the Trojans as well and compiled an ERA of 2.75 which is third on the team.

Last but not least, the third first team selection in Abe Weirich. Weirich has batted .303 this year and had three home runs along with 15 RBIs, three doubles and a triple.

The final selection for the Trojans is Julian Weirich who was given an honorable mention. Weirich leads Mount Union at the plate with an average of .403 and collected 14 RBIs and three doubles. Weirich also has 13 stolen bases.
