East Juniata baseball wins convincingly in last game of the season

Clark Ritzman collected four hits in four at bats, as East Juniata defeated Line Mountain 10-0 on Tuesday. Ritzman doubled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

The Tigers got on the board in the first inning after Kolten Martin doubled, scoring one run.

East Juniata added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Martin walked, Kelton Bonnell singled, the Tigers scored on a passed ball, and East Juniata scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.

Wyatt Weges earned the win for East Juniata. They surrendered two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking two. Quinn Dunkelberger took the loss for the Eagles. The righty went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering nine runs (eight earned) on seven hits, striking out six and walking eight.

The Tigers collected nine hits in the game. Bonnell provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Tigers with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Martin led East Juniata with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Ritzman and Trent Price each stole multiple bases for East Juniata . The Tigers stole six bases in the game. East Juniata was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Nate Carolus had the most chances in the field with nine.

Owen Hamburger and Dalton Yerger each collected one hit for Line Mountain . The Eagles turned one double play in the game.
