MIfflin County girls dominate CDEast

Back for the attack!

The MIfflin County girls struck early and often Thursday night as they topped Central Dauphin East in a big way, 8-1.

Aubrey Strohecker led the team with a hat trick en route to the 5-goal victory.

Teammates Brynn Knepp and Bryn Kanagy added two goal of their own.

Strohecker led off the scoring thanks to a pass from Brynn Knepp at 13:28.

Teammate Lily Yoder followed suit on an assist from Strohecker at the 19:29 mark.

Less than three minutes later MIfflin County’s Brynn Knepp upped the lead to 3-0 at 22:21.

East’s Kristina Kelchner cut the game to 3-1 with an unassisted goal at 30:51.

Before CD East had a chance to celebrate Strohecker put the Lady Huskies’ lead back to three thanks to an assist by Sarah Henry at 31:08.

The first half continued to go the Huskies way as  Kanagy posted an unassisted goal at 41:00.

Strohecker notched goal number three on another Knepp pass at 41:29.

MIfflin County rounded out the first half scoring on a Knepp goal that was sent to her by Strohecker at 43:24.

In the second half,Kanagy ended the MIfflin County scoring thanks to a pass from Morgan Breon at 51:20.

Rounding out the game scoring was East’s duo of Nancy Le and Emily Calama with times of 54:52

and 63:13, respectively.

MIfflin County outshot CD East 23-5. They also led in corner opportunities 5-2.

MIfflin County improves to 2-3 Mid-Penn action and 2-4 overall.

MIfflin County’s next game is October 17th at home against Mechanicsburg.

In JV action, MIfflin County topped East 3-1.

MC got goals from Sadie Fike, Morgan Breon and Elise Wagner.
