Bald Eagle rallies to take win after trailing to PO early

For the second night in-a-row the Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team showed that they had what it takes to win in the clutch as they defeated Philipsburg-Osceola 2-1.

The Lady Eagles led in shots on goals by a 6-5 margin while it also held the advantage in the corners department by an 8-3 margin.

Falen McHenry had two goals in the contest.

Goalkeeper MacKenzie Vozniak had another strong outing in the net as she stopped four attempts. “What a gritty performance tonight. We didn’t have our best stuff in the first half, but the girl dug in deep and made the changes in the second half to pull out the “W”,” said Bald Eagle Area coach Jared Moore. “It took a total team effort and that shows character. Great work from Falen tonight netting a brace. The game winner was a beautiful ball from Abby Hoover to set it up.”

After falling behind 1-0, the Eagles responded with McHenry’s first goal.

McHenry added another goal to clinch the win for the Eagles, completing the comeback attempt. The assist came from teammate Abby Hoover.
