Mifflin County Track and Field competes in Double Dual Meet with Central Dauphin and Carlisle

Girls Team: 

MC 36 – CD 105

MC 30 – Carlisle 118

Today, the girls’ team competed against Central Dauphin and Carlisle. Points were hard-earned during the meet. Liberty Cook led the team on track in points by placing in the 1600, winning against Carlisle, and the 800, taking second against both teams. On the field, Tai Ematat had a standout day by placing against both teams in the high jump, long jump and triple jump.

Boys Team:

MC 98 – CD 42

MC 51 – Carlisle 99

The boys’ team split the competition today, taking a win against Central Dauphin and falling to Carlisle. The Huskies had a strong performance on the track. Leading the pack, Myka Simmons broke two school records. First, he broke a seven-year-old record in the 400, previously held by Seth Phillips, by crossing the finish line in 50.30 seconds. He followed this achievement by breaking his own school record in the 200 with a time of 21.74 seconds. Tylor Druckemiller and Carter Smith took first place against both teams in the 3200 and 1600, respectively. On the field, Travis Renninger, Adan Daubert and Kyler Miller swept up all of the points in Shot Put against Central Dauphin.
