Archives: State College football team takes win at MC

With home field advantage in the opening round of the District 6 post-season, the State College football team defeated the Mifflin County Huskies 26- 21 at Mitchell Field in Lewistown.

After falling behind the Huskies 21-7 in the second half, the State College offense rallied late lighting up the Mifflin County defense for 19 unanswered points; the last of which came with only 47 ticks on the clock when it looked like the Mifflin County Huskies would hold on for the victory.

With the victory, the little Lions posted the District 6 first round of the playoffs against the same Mifflin County Huskies.
