Bald Eagle Area defeats Huntingdon in volleyball action

After falling behind early in tow of the three games the Bald Eagle Area girls volleyball team overcame deficits to sweep the visiting Huntingdon Bearcats 3-0 in front of the home fans Tursday night.
In the opening match, Huntingdon opened the game taking a 6-2 lead on three service points by Kacia Helsel and two by Lauren Smith.
After a spike by Bald Eagle’s Vee Skripek forced a side out and possession to go back to the Eagles sure handed server Sara Snyder. Snyder was sizzling from the serving line routing out six consecutive service points to put her team in the lead at 9-6.
After exchanging side outs to up the score to 10-7, Skripek went wild at the service line posting seven consecutive points, including two aces.
With a secure 19-8 lead, Regan Dyke and teammate Caylee McCaslin led the team to victory, 25-10.
In the second contest, the Eagles got going early and continued to roll through building a big lead and never looked back, winning 25-13.
Huntingdon once again took an early lead but the Eagles never waivered from their game plan as they went onto beat the Bearcats 25-20.
