Bald Eagle Area girls top Clearfield

The Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team is in mid-season form as they pick up a dominating win over Clearfield Tuesday night 7-1.
Despite Clearfield leading in corners by a 3-2 advantage and shots on goal by a 13-12 margin, the Eagles made the most of its shots in the victory.
BEA Charlee Harris was a strong force in goal for BEA with 11 saves while Clearfield’s Rachel Veneziano had one and teammate Hayley Moore had six.
Addison Proctor started the scoring for Bald Eagle Area after an assist by Emily Shiels, 6:00
Kiersten Walker with a pass from Zoey McHenry made it 2-0 with 13:06 left in the first.
Emily Shiels off a Grace Holderman pass extended the lead at the 18:40 mark.
Emily Shiels got on the scoreboard thanks to a pass from Madison Jones with 19:13 showing on the clock.
“The girls play with passion tonight. They started right from the first whistle. The defense played very solid tonight and everyone contributed with the scoring. It was a full team effort tonight,” Bald Eagle Area coach Jared Moore said. “Emily Shiels had two great goals and an assist and Kiersten Walker had a hat trick. Kiersten and Emily had great games tonight. They worked hard and put the ball in the net when they got their chances.”
Clearfield posted an Own Goal in the second at 43:33.
Walker on passes from Chelsea Butterworth and Proctor rounded out the scoring by the 57:30 point of the contest.
With the win improves to 2-2-1
