Bald Eagle forces Penns Valley out of team duals

It was a showdown between two familiar faces when the Bald Eagle Area wrestlers met up against Penns Valley in the District 6 team Duals Tuesday night.
The Eagles continued their winning ways as it knocked out the Rams in a 45-24 victory.
The match started at 106, Penns Valley’s Jack Darlington raised his hands in victory with a forfeit win.
It would be the Eagles turn to win an easy one. At 113 Gavin Guenot took the forfeit win.
Bald Eagle broke the 6-6 tie at 120, Lucas Fye muscled his way over Colten Shunk by a 7-2 decision.
Leading 9-6, 126-pounder Coen Bainey gave the Eagles its first pin of the night, pinning Carter Homan at 0:58.
Bald Eagle continued its winning ways at 132. Kevin Taylor outlasted Nate Long 12-5in a high energy affair.
Notching the second fall for the Wagles was 138-pounder Jeffre Pifer as he pinned Nick Cain at 0:21.
The Rams battled back to take the 145-pound weight class. Ty Watson picked up a second period pin over Tayten Yoder at 2:47.
David Martin at 152, made it two in a row for the Rams when David Martin pinned Mason Reese at 1:12.
The Eagles struck back at 160 Cameron Dubbs pinned Micah Fetterolf by Fall at 2:49.
Back came Penns Valley at 172, Cole Felker notched a pin of his own pinning Nathan Fry at the 2:31 mark.
At 189 Caleb Close added to the Eagles score with a 6-0 decision over Hunter Lyons.
215-pounder Noah Foltz took care of Josh Spahr winning by pinfall at 1:16.
Rounding out the contest, the Eagles took the match at 285. Matthew Knepp pinned Kollin Brungart at 2:41.
