Bald Eagle wrestlers dominate Hollidaysburg

WINGATE – In a Tuesday night Mountain League contest, the Bald Eagle wrestlers were laser focused going into their match. That would show in the results as the Eagles lost just two matches on the night. Both were by decisions.

When the dust settled, the Eagles went home the victors of a 58-6 contest versus Hollidaysburg.

In the opening contest at 189, Bald Eagle’s Noah Foltz pinned Luke Onkst at 2:35.

Starting back in the lightweights the Eagles were just as successful, starting at 106. Gavin Guenot won a 6-0 decision over Carson Krupka.

At 113, Lucas Fye won by pinfall over Bryce Conway at 0:16.

Things continued in the Eagles favor at 120. Owen Johnson picked up a pin of his own over Noah Horne at 2:16.

126: Hunter Gardner would take care of the 126-pound match as he pinned Mason Schenk at 3:12.

132-pounder Kevin Taylor won by tech fall over Hollidaysburg’s Jacob Brua 16-0 at 5:03.

At 138, Bald Eagle’s Jeffre Pifer pinned Mitchell Baronner at 0:50.

Things continued to roll for Bald Eagle at 145.

Grace Stem dominated Quinton Ritchey topping him a technical fall fashion, 24-9 at 5:01.

At 152, Bald Eagle picked up its first of two consecutive forfeits as Tayten Yoder got the easy forfeited win.

The second forfeit continued at 160. Cameron Dubbs joined Yoder in the forfeit category.

Bald Eagle ended things in style at 172. Caleb Close blanked Aaron Sleeth 4-0.
