Bald Eagle girls soccer team finishes season as D6 runner up
The Bald Eagle girls soccer team came up just short Wednesday night in their battle with Bisho Guilfoyle in the D6 A Championship falling 2-0.
“It was a really nice season. The girls played very hard tonight. BG is a good team and has a lot of talent,” said Bald Eagle Area coach Jared Moore. “We had some nice chances that we didn’t convert on and that made a lot of the difference tonight. The defense was really solid all game. Everyone gave a huge effort and should not hang their heads.”
BEA finished the season as District 6 Class A runner ups with a final record of 9-9-1.
Bishop Guilfoyle outshot the Lady Eagles 3-2 and held the advantage in corner opportunities by a 3-2 margin.
BEA goalie Makayla Spicer finished with 12 saves.
