Beeler records 10 saves for Central Michigan in loss to MSU

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team held the Michigan State Spartans scoreless in the second half of their game on Saturday afternoon. The Chippewas ultimately fell 0-3 to the Spartans to fall to 1-6 on the season as MSU advances to 3-5.

Sophomore goalkeeper, Maja Halasz played the first quarter in cage recording one save and allowing two goals. Junior Coletta Beelerentered in the second quarter and finished out the game recording 10 saves, shattering her previous career high.

The Chippewas took one shot, taken by Hannah Havrilla in the first quarter. CMU took two corners compared the to the Spartans eight.

Next, the Chippewas will host Appalachian State on Friday, September 29th at noon. The game will be played at Cristy Freese Field.

On Sunday, October 1st, the Chippewas will face Lindenwood at Cristy Freese Field as they celebrate senior day. The game is slated for a noon start.
