Bellefonte boys soccer team outlasts Chestnut Ridge

Chalk up another win for the Bellefonte boys soccer team as the

Red Raiders defeated Chestnut Ridge 6-4 .

Chestnut Ridge started the scoring in the contest on an Elias Richey goal at 2:24.

Bellefonte tied things minutes later.

At 4:20 Brady Wertz scored thanks to an assist by Gage Rankin.

Bellefonte took the lead at 10:08 as Wertz scored goal number two off an  assist from John Servant.

Wertz collected the hat trick at 34:17  off an assist from Ethan Wilson.

Chestnut Ridge finished off the first half scoring at  :36 on a goal from Cameron Clay.

“We did not okay our best soccer tonight we struggled to put passes together and missed too many open shots,” said Bellefonte coach We did enough to get the job done tonight. Give credit to Chestnut Ridge they played hard and didn’t make it easy.

In the 2nd half, Bellefonte scored at 46:12 on an Andy Gerasenko assist from Wertz.

Bellefonte added an insurance goal at 53:55 from Ethan Wilson.

Clhestnut ridge Elias ratchey posted the final two goals of the contest.

Bellefonte led in shots on goal by 24-12 margin.
