Bellefonte’s 15-run inning leads to a 19-1 win over DuBois

Starting the season with a “BANG!!” The Bellefonte girls softball team wasted little time to explode onto the scene as they opened their season with a crushing 19-1 winner over DuBois Saturday morning.

Lexi Rogers with four RBIs on one hit while Lily Gardner, MacKenna Port and Hailey Rimmey both finished with three RBIs in the four inning contest. Port also paced her team in hits with three.

Rogers picked up the victory as she went the distance, tossing a 3-hitter with seven strike outs.

It would be a 15-run fourth inning that would ice the game after holding an early 4-0 run advantage.
