Central Mtn. tops Bellefonte girls in nailbiter

The Lady Raiders took on the Lady Wildcats on Monday night.  After 52 minutes of soggy hard fought action, Central Mountain lofted a beautiful shot over the head of the keeper to take the 1-0 lead.

Bellefonte fought back and with 2 minutes remain in the game, Mia Johnson lofted a ball over the defense directly to Mallorie Smith who promptly put the ball in the back of the net.

Addy Manning, Kelsey Bowersox, and Amaya Rothrock combined for several outstanding saves for Bellefonte and the Lady Raiders were anchored on defense by the great play of Madison Steiner, Lily Huff, and Sarah Tobin.

Bellefonte is now 1-2-1 on the season and travels to Tyrone on Wednesday.
