The Juniata men’s cross country team competed in the 8K Lock Haven University Invite on Saturday morning, their first 8K race of the fall.

Juniata competed in the second of two splits. Conrad Coffey continued his strong start to collegiate competition with a 27:09.9 for a 42nd-place result from a field of 200. Ellis Kline was next with a 28:52.1 to claim 110th place and a new personal record. His previous-best 8K time was a 29:15.1 at the NCAA Mid-Atantic Regionals at Lock Haven last November. Max Scott was seconds behind in 114th place with a time of 28:56.3. It’s also a PR for him, as he set a 29:15.1 at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals meet last year. Gavin Robb finished the race in 30:28.0 for a 152nd-place showing.

The Juniata men’s cross country team returns to action in two weeks on Saturday, October 7, at the DeSales University Invite.
