East Juniata boys take tough loss from UDA
It was a tough night on the court for the East Juniata boys as they fell at home to Upper Dauphin 58-48.
High Scorers in the contest were UDA’s Macklin Ayers with 25 and the Tigers’ Xavier Clement with 19.
Things started out on the right foot for East Juniata as it outscored Upper Dauphin 15-14.
In the quarter, EJ was led by nine from Clement.
Upper Dauphin took the second quarter outscoring East Juniata 19-17. It also sent the visitors ahead by one at the intermission, 25-24.
Clement also led all Tiger scorers with eight in the period.
Coming out of the intermission, UDA outscored the Tigers 13-10.
Andrew Hunter kept his team within striking distance as he led the team in scoring with six while teammate Tanner Barth had four.
But Upper Dauphin had the Tigers number as well in the final stanza, outscoring East Juniata 12-6 en route to the victory.
In the JV contest, UDA topped EJ 37-28.
