East Juniata boys takes win over Juniata

In its annual meeting on the soccer field, the Juniata and East Juniata soccer teams met up to renew their rivalry.

In the end, the afternoon belonged to the Tigers as they defeated the Indians 4-0.

In the first half, East Juniata notched goals at 25:22 and 16:20 in the first half.

They added to advantage posting goals at 6:23 and 4:30 to capture the shut out win over their rivals.

Josef Book  collected all the East Juniata goals, posting four.

Teammate Wrett Smith finished with an assist while goalie Kelton Bonnell finished with 11 saves.

Juniata held the advantage in shots on goals by a 13-7 margin.

East Nuniata held the edge in corner opportunities by a mark of 4-3.
