Game story: MC Girls LAX tops Mifflinburg

MC Girls’ Lacrosse continues to grow and shows improvement in learning the game and applying skills and strategies. Playing against another growing team, the Huskies were able to pull out the win 13-7.  At the half, the Huskies were only ahead by a mere 3 goals (7-4).   Personnel changes and strategic changes put the Huskies ahead 13-5 to secure the win.  Six goals by Mara Gallo with two assists, Bailey Wyland and Gracelynn Beckenbaugh with two goals each and Beckenbaugh throwing in an assist, and Addi Knepp, Emmaleigh Harmon and Sumiko Clark each zinging in a goal a piece.   Draw controls were a hit with five each from Wyland and Gallo, Joshlynn Tate snagged 3 highballs of her own, two from Lolo Knepp, and one scooped up by Ava Wagner.  Newcomer Emmaleigh Harmon had two fantastic and speedy defensive lockouts against a standout Wildcat! Defensive players are adjusting to zone and man coverage with Goalie Zoey Foltz posting an absolutely ridiculous save rate of 75% drawing accolades from visiting coaches as well as her own teammates and coaches!
