HWF makes Debut at Lewistown’s Comm

By Josh Yoder
There was something special brewing at the Lewistown Rec Park Community Center as HWF was making their debut show with Summerfest 2021.
Plenty of things were happening for the event with the debut of several new faces to make their respective debuts in Lewistown with wrestlers such as Mad Max Morrison, Will Knox and Nick Sicend just to name a few that were welcomed by the Lewistown audience.
The show was also feature a special tribute to one Chip Jabs who had tragically passed away earlier in the year where there was a ten bell salute to the fallen musician who he and his band Calmly Poisoned were the winners of the 2017 Battle of the Bands.
In the opening contest of the evening, KA Robison went one on one with Nuzzi. Nuzzi did everything he could keep the high flying Robison grounded out and for the most part was able to do so. However, once Robison got going, it was pretty hard for Nuzzi to keep up with the speedy Robison. But then by hook or by crook, Nuzzi managed to catch Robison in a pinning position but secretly pulled the tights to add more leverage for the win.
The following singles match was between Red Dawg and Michael’s Amaydo. After a back and forth contest where Amaydo caught Red Dawg into a submission hold eventually leading to a submission victory.
The third match of the evening had a special meaning to a lot of people in Lewistown as there was a triple threat match where all three of the participants were from the area in the form of Eric Hammel, Redneck Apache and Edward James. Unfortunately for the people of Lewistown, the match did not happen as expected as after Hamel had made his entrance to the ring, Apache was called to the ring, but did not come out. Suddenly, Apache did make his entrance, but was dragged by Mr. Marks, the manager of James where it became apparent that Marks and James had attacked the Redneck Apache prior to the match forcing it to become a singles match.
With Apache out of the way, James set his sight on Hamel and things got intense very quickly. James was able to take advantage of the injured knee of Hammel and appeared as though James would come out victorious. But Hammel dug down deep and caught James with a cutter out of nowhere to pick up the win.
The next match was a tag team match featuring the duo of Chaz Evans and Prince Mackaveli aka Pure Ignorance going up against the team of Mad Max Morrison and Ron Holiday collectively known as Riot City. Evans and Mackaveli were able to hang with Riot City, but eventually the unorthodox style of Morrison and Holiday overcame Pure Ignorance to win via pinfall.
Mr. Fantastic Will Knox then got to make his debut as he went one on one with the Humble Hoodlum Eric Ecton who was accompany by his manager Captain Decapitate. The Captain found himself involved in the match quite often with the referee being distracted by Ecton. However, Knox battled his way back and looked to put the finishing touch before once again Decapitate got himself involved in the match and sprayed a foreign substance into the eyes of Knox allowing Ecton to pick up the win.
Then in the main event, Matt “TRK” Silks made his return to the ring and looked to become the first ever HWF heavyweight champion. But to do that, Silks would have to get past Riot City’s own Nick Sicend.
At first, it had appeared that both wrestlers wanted to make the match be honorable as Sicend ordered his Riot City crew to head to the back leaving it just himself versus Silks to see who is the better man.
But as time went on, things started to turn more sinister as Sicend began to be more aggressive not only towards Silks, but to the fans as well. However, Silks managed to take control of the match before Riot City made their shocking return to the ring and surrounded him. The referee did his best to keep Riot City at bay, but while that had happened, Silks turned around to face Sicend only to have Sicend kick Silks in the groin and finished him off to become the first ever HWF champion.
Afterwards, Riot City continued their assault on Silks and it appeared as though no one was willing to come out and help save him. That was until big brother Chuck came storming into the ring chasing off Riot City and preventing anymore harm to Matt.
But despite the loss and betrayal, it did not keep Matt from giving his special tribute to his fallen friend Chip Jabs. He also thanked the audience for their support.
With that being said, I also would like to thank everyone who had came to the show and would like to send a special prayer to one Chip Jabs as well as his family and to anyone who loved him dearly. Rest In Peace Chip, God Bless.
