Juniata girls win thrilling 1-0 playoff victory over Central

It was a night of celebration for the Juniata girls soccer team as they advanced to the second round of the District 6 playoffs with a nail biting 1-0 win over Central Wednesday.

Juniata’s Regan Lowery scored at 33 minutes on the clock in the first half. On the play, Ashlyn Pannebaker sent a cross in that deflected off a Central defender. Regan trapped it down and turn and hit a shot low and to the corner past the diving Central keeper.

The Indians goalkeeper Hailey Kepner recorded 12 saves en route to the shut out win.
