Penns Valley volleyball team advances to second round of D6 action

The Penns Valley Volleyball team topped Marion Center in straight sets to open District 6 AA playoffs. Leading the Lady Rams were senior duo middle Cammie Upcraft with 12 kills plus 3 blocks and outside Kailen Winkelblech with 10 kills along with 13 digs. Junior setter Julia Emel earned 30 assists, 8 digs, and 3 kills. Sophomore libero Maddie Butler had a team-high 18 digs. Sophomore outside Ella Hadley tallied 6 kills and 6 digs, and junior middle Ellie Coursen took 5 kills. Sophomore right side Laney Aston added 2 kills and 3 digs, and senior defensive specialist chipped in 6 digs for PV.
