Juniata track team has strong at Blue Jay Invitational

The Juniata track and field team competed this weekend Elizabethtown Blue Jay invitational.

In the Shot put, Jordan Cruz finished first with a launch of 45’1.25”.

In Boys action, the 4×800-meter team finished 7th. The team of Micah Fausey, Gunner Glick, Mason Beward and Noah Sheaffer finished with a time of 9:56.05.

In the 1600-meter Wyatt Stroup finished 8th with a time of 4:49.16.

In the 4×100-meter relay the group of Waylon Ehrenzeller, Heath Hutchinson, Brant Walters, Ricky Maradiaga finished strong.

The High Jump 7th Makih Hunt’s jump of 5’ 4” was good enough to capture 7th place.

In the Pole Vault Tyson Aurand finished 3rd with a vault of 11’ 0”.

On the girls side, the 4×800-meter relay team finished 5th. The team consisting of Emily Houtz, Jessie Bomberger, Peyton Sheaffer and Frances Fitzgerald finished with a time of 12:53.45.

Ashlyn Pannebaker in the 100-meter run finished 5th with a time of 13.45.

The girls 4×100 relay team finished 5th. Autumn Graybill, Amelia Smith, Mackenzie Bennett and Ashlyn Pannebaker posted a time of 54.52.

Rounding out the relay teams, the 4×400-meter relay finished 8th. Autumn Graybill, Amelia Smith, Emily Houtz and Ashlyn Pannebaker finished strong with a time of 4:55.13.

In the high jump Autumn Graybill placed fifth with a jump of 4’ 6”

Ava Stoner finished 5th in the pole vault with a height of 7’ 6”.

Discus 8th Mariska Beward finished 8th in the discus with a throw of 86’ 8”

Ava Shearer finished 4th in Javelin with a throw of 95’ 2”.

Rounding out the day was 8th Mariska Beward 8th place finish in the javelin with a throw of 82’11”.
