Kahale Burns Helps Bald Eagle Area  Eagles Slug Their Way To Victory Against Lakeview Sailors

Kahale Burns hit two home runs and drove in three as Bald Eagle Area defeated Lakeview Sailors 9-3 on Monday. Burns homered in the second and first innings.

The Eagles won thanks in part to five runs in the second inning. Camron Watkins doubled, scoring two runs, Burns homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Brayden Dubbs hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Bald Eagle opened the scoring in the first after Burns hit a solo home run to left field.

Three more Eagles runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 9-2. Watkins homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Tayten Yoder grounded out, scoring one run.

Lakeview scored one run in the top of the fifth on a solo home run to left field by Grady Harbaugh.

Yoder earned the win for Bald Eagle Area  Eagles. They gave up eight hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking two. Maddox Bell took the loss for the Sailors. They went three and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking none. Lucas Fagley stepped on the mound first for Lakeview Sailors. They allowed eight hits and six runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking none.

Bald Eagle Area accumulated 11 hits in the game. Watkins, the number nine hitter for Bald Eagle, led the way with four runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Bald the Eagles turned one double play in the game.

Fagley and Jonny Husband each collected two hits for Lakeview. Bell, Harbaugh, and Owen Dye each drove in one run for Lakeview Sailors.
