Lady Huskies fall in heartbreaker to CD

Thursday afternoon, the young MIfflin County softball team took Central Dauphin to the brink before a seventh inning walk off, sent the huskies to a tough Mid-Penn loss.
Mifflin County held a 5-3 advantage going into the Rams final at bats before Central Dauphin rallied for three.
Maddie Paul stood tall for the Rams as she blasted the game inning 3-run home run to end the contest.
The Lady Huskies out hit the Rams in the contest by a 9-8 margin.
It was a game of lead changes as
Central Dauphin opened up with the offense posting three in their first at bats. Kasi Loser highlighted the inning for the Rams as she hit a solo homer.
The Huskies chipped their way back into the game with a run In the second.
In the top of the third inning, Mifflin County tied things up at three. Dakota Hershberger drove in two, knotting the game at three on a home run.
Picking up the victory for the Rams was Bree Lock led the Central Dauphin to victory. Lock surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one-third of an inning, walking one.
Madison Wolfgang took the loss for the Huskies. The pitcher lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and six runs while striking out nine.
The Huskies ended their grueling 4-game run this week.
Offensively, Mifflin County roped nine hits in the afternoon. Hershberger and Wolfgang each managed multiple hits for the Huskies. Wolfgang and Hershberger each managed two hits.
