Lady Raiders top Crushers in five innings

The Bellefonte softball team bats have been sizzling as of late.
Friday, the Lady Raiders were back to the diamond and back at the plate.
The result was a 12-2 victory over Bishop McCort in a 5-inning run shortened game.
Alaina Smith picked up the win for the Bellefonte squad. She scattered three hits and two runs as she went the distance.
Offensively, Sienna Barnhart had a lone hit that ended as a 3-run home run to pace the Red Raiders. Barnhart tallied 4 RBIs.
Sadie Ripka and Taylor Brown both finished with three hits each. All in all, the Bellefonte offense finished with 10 hits.
The Lady Raiders started with seven runs in the two innings. They added five more in the third and held off a 2-run rally in the fifth to capture the win.
