Lady Tigers tops the Lady Indians in TVL title tilt
In the battle for the Tri-Valley League girls soccer title, it was the battle of Juniata County as East Juniata met East Juniata for the TVL Championship.
In the end, the Tigers took the victory 6-2.
Amara Brubaker notched a hat trick en route to the Lady Tigers’ victory.
Juniata drew first blood, when Emma Pennebaker scored an unassisted goal at 18:40, making it a 1-0 Indian advantage.
But the Lady Tigers came roaring back
Brubaker tied the game on an unassisted goal less than three minutes later at 21:02.
Just minutes later Brubaker was at it again as she was assisted Neimond- 23:59
Neimond notched a goal of her own as she picked up an assist by Fogle at 34:53.
Fogle made it a 4-goal advantage on an unassisted goal at 35:48.
Brubaker hit hat trick status with her third goal as she assisted by Fogle 42:39.
Juniata notched it second of the game on a Nylah Pennebaker unassisted goal at 60:26.
Neimond rounded out the scoring when she was assisted by Kierstyn Fogle at 64:03.
East Juniata tallied 39 shots on goal while Juniata had six.
The Lady Tigers also led in corners by a 4-2 margin.
Keeper saves-4 EJ goalie Brianna Henry-goalie tallied four saves while Juniata goalies saved 33.
East Juniata’s Overall record is 18-1
and a perfect 13-0 in League action.
