Late Thursday results: EJ softball tops Saint Joseph’s

East Juniata defeated Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy 17-2 on Thursday thanks in part to 11 runs scored in the bottom of the 1st inning.
The WolfPack from Saint Joseph’s got on the board in the first inning after Jordyn Rose doubled, bringing in two runs.
Rose drove the middle of the lineup, leading the WolfPack with 2 runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Katie Pase led Saint Joe’s with 2 hits in 2 at bats from the lead off position. She also stole 3 bases on the day. Kaige Hutchings added a stolen basefor the WolfPack. Pase and Hutchings both scored on Rose’s 1st inning double.
Mary Capriani took the loss for SJCA. She went two innings surrendering 17 runs (only 6 earned) on 13 hits. She struck out none and walked 5 batters.
The WolfPack welcome Juniata in their first Home game of the season on Monday, April 1st.
