In Harrisburg Tuesday afternoon, the Mifflin County Boys’ cross country team swept the top three places in a double dual meet with State College and host Central Dauphin in a dominating performance. Miff Co beat State College 18-40 while handing the Rams a 17-46 defeat.
Husky Caden Bell (18:46) took first with teammates Reese Cubbison second (18:51) and Wyatt Kauffman third (19:00).  Styers Oden finished sixth (19:30) and Cody Fultz was eighth (19:40) and ended the Husky scoring total. Pushers Hart Oden 10th (20:11) and Aidan Scavitti 11th (20:23) while not scoring for MC pushed both opponents scores higher.
Other finishers for Mifflin County include Koy Aurand 14th (20:35), Logan Breneman 35th (23:08), David Snyder 46th (25:13), and Justin Cox 47th (26:26).
“Caden got off to a rocky start this season but has been racing better in every meet. Reese has been running awesome all season.  Late in the second mile Wyatt made a big move and really changed the dynamics of the scoring. Styers struggled Saturday at Altoona but put together a whale of a race today. Cody has been a rock for us this season. Yesterday we talked about the importance of the fifth man and Cody came thru once again. Hart and Aidan’s places added cushion to the point totals. Koy missed a few days and had a nice come back run. Logan, David and Justin are freshmen that are improving with each race.
The boys are looking better every time they race. We want to carry this momentum forward and keep improving with each meet.
Huskies improve to 2-1 MP and 2-1 overall.
Thursday MC hosts CD East in Reedsville.
