MC girls fall in close contest

The Mifflin County girls soccer team took Hershey down to the wire before falling 2-1 Tuesday night.
After a scoreless first half, Hershey took the lead scoring a goal at the 45-minute mark.
With the second half coming past the midway mark, Jessica Bickhart picked up a pass from Riley Johnson and sent it home at the 63-mark.
But in the 77-minute mark, Hershey hit the eventual game winner, making it 2-1.
Hershey led in shots on goal by a 17-6 margin.
Mifflin County’s Allyssa Schnell collected 15 saves while Hershey’s Alexis Moodie had five.
Hershey held the advantage on corner kicks by a 3-1 margin.
The Huskies varsity record is 1-5 overall and 1-2 in the Mid-Penn.
The Mifflin County JV lost 3-0. MC was held scorelesss.
Jessica Bickhart recorded 17 saves.
The MC JV Record is 2-4 overall and 1-2 in Mid-Penn action.
Next game: Thursday, 9/21/17 MC hosts Lower Dauphin for a JV Kickoff at 5pm followed by a Varsity Kickoff at 6:30 pm.
