Mc golfers finish season at Mid-Penn Championships

The MIfflin County golf team wrapped up its season today with the Mid-Penn Championships at Dauphin Highlands, and the District 6 Championships at Scotch Valley. Jackson Flood was the lone representative in the District 6 championships. He finished 11th place with a score of 98. Today was a tough day of golf. It was windy, rainy, and very wet. The course was extremely saturated from all the rain over the past week, which doesn’t mix well with golf. Jackson battled extremely hard all day, and ended his senior season on a positive note. It’s extremely difficult to even make it to the district 6 tournament in golf, so Jackson has a lot to be proud of.

Colby Seiler and Evan Breon represented the Huskies at the Mid-Penn Championships today as well. Colby finished his senior season with a very solid score of 82, which placed 22nd overall. Evan Breon shot a 90, which was 46th place overall. Colby finishes out his great career with lots of individual accomplishments. He was a Mid- Penn medalist last year, finishing 12th place overall. He is a two time Mid-Penn Keystone Division All-Star, and he was a medalist(1st place overall) twice in his career. Evan finished off a great sophomore season in which he was a medalist(1st overall) once this season, as well as firing two scores in the 70’s. To make it to the Mid-Penn Championships as a sophomore is difficult.

Evan has put in lots of work, and it paid off with a tremendous year. The future is very bright for Evan and MC golf.
