MC rookie Bocce Ball players capture State Championship

STATE COLLEGE – What a great first year debut!!!

In their first season of competitive play, the MIfflin County Ballers did what not many teams in ANY sports have accomplished, a state title.

Wednesday in the friendly confines of the C3 Sports Facilities, the MIfflin County Unified Bocce team completed its season in fine fashion, holding up the state championship trophy.

Under coach Billie Jo Heverly, the group was clutch under pressure.

The group competed against teams like Bald Eagle Area Blue team, Central Columbia -Team 2, Penn Cambria, Dallastown, North Penn – Mansfield, Mid-Penn – Northern York

and Mid-Penn – Greencastle- Antrim High School.
