MC softball falls in nail biter to Chambersburg

The MIfflin County softball team found itself on the losing end of a nail biter Tuesday in its contest against Chambersburg, falling 8-7.

Leading the offense for the Lady Huskies were Caitlyn Kick and Alyssa Souders who both finished with two hits each. Both also notched an RBI.

Maddie Meyers finished with 2RBIs in a losing effort.

Gianna Hoppel scored twice and picked up a hit.

Maddison Wolfgang took the hard luck loss.

Starting Huskies hurler DeVanie Condrack struck out seven before being taken out for Wolfgang.

Chambersburg struck first in the bottom of the third, taking a 2-0 lead.

But the lead would only be temporary as the Lady Huskies battled back to tie things in the fourth.

Things looked bright for MIfflin County as it plated five in the top of the seventh.

However, Chambersburg would spoil the afternoon coming back to plate six and steal the win.
