MCSD’s Girls Varsity Lacrosse capped off a phenomenal 8-1 season!

Thursday night against the Dragons of Lewisburg,  the Lady Huskies were on fire with a smoking 14-5 routing.  The offensive and defensive play was on point!   Our biggest strength all season has been an equally strong offensive and defensive front!  That is a rarity for any team let alone newcomers to the sport!  Our defensive players have been a wall all season and tonight was tops with forcing turnovers and capitalizing on the loose ground balls!  Low defenders Aspen Eby and Ella Kammerer kept the crease locked down tight and high defenders Hailee Sheetz and Aija Binder kept a clean yet powerfully assertive lock down of the 8m.

Scoring went around the wheel with 7 players finding the back of the net! Senior Kashia Smith and Junior Sadie Fike each had hat tricks.  Senior Emma Ritchey with her signature crease rolls scored two with Junior Hailee Sheetz and Freshman Mara Gallo each putting in two.  Juniors Brenna Dobson and Monica Druckemiller each zinged in one.  Goalie Mikayla Bodley had 11 saves!

JV players finished their first season 4-0-1.
