Mifflin County 7th/8th graders top Juniata

LEWISTOWN – The Mifflin County Huskies 7th and 8th grade football team was victorious against Juniata
on Wednesday night 48-6.  Mifflin County started the game with a bang as Jaxon Strohecker returned the opening kick off 70 yards for a touchdown.  Noah Wolfkiel hit Brayan Aurand on a pass for the 2 point conversion.  Mifflin County would give up a touchdown to Juniata in the first half.  Mifflin County led 20-6 at the half.  In the second half Mifflin County came out with an attitude and punched in 4 straight rushing touchdowns while the defense pitched a second half shut out.  Jaxon Strohecker led the rushing attack with 200 all purpose yards and 4 touchdowns on the night.  Brayan Aurand powered his way to over 100 yards rushing on the night and 2 touchdowns, while Asher Pearce caped the night with a 20 yard scamper to the endzone.
