REEDSVILLE – The Mifflin County boys’ cross country raced to an overall fourth place finish at the Big Valley Invitational on Saturday morning in Reedsville. Leading the way for the Huskies was Sophomore Reese Cubbison in 19th place (17:29).  Caden Bell was 31st (17:59)followed by Wyatt Kauffman in 33rd (18:08), Cody Fultz 34 (18:10) and Koy Aurand in 54th (18:52).  Oden brothers Styers 59th and Hart 60th (both 18:56) closed out the Husky varsity.

Tyler Rader of Huntindon captured individual honors while State College took the team title.  174 runners finished the 5k event.

“The boys all ran nice races to finish fourth.  Reese had a breakout effort and took home a medal. It was a very competitive field but our kids were on a mission,” said MIfflin County head coach Greg Loht. “This team is very close and they realize that the greater the team success the greater their success will be. They all ran hard and I’m very proud of their efforts.”

The Huskies return to action Tuesday September 5 as they host Central Dauphin East at home.
