Mifflin County girls dominate CD East 8-0
Pulling no punches.
The MIfflin County girls soccer team picked up its first win of the season and did it grand style, exploding for an 8-0 victory Tuesday over Central Dauphin East.
Danielle Warfel led the way, posting a hat trick in the win.
Teammate Emma Herwig added two.
Warfel led off the scoring at 7:28.
Midway through the first half, Herwig scored thanks to a pass from Abby Anderson scored at 21:01. Seconds later Warfel was at it again posting another goal at 21:13.
Mackenzie Peachey got into the scoring act thanks to a Warfel pass at 28:04.
Rounding out the scoring in the first half was Warfel with a goal at 37:47.
In the second half, Herwig scored at 56:00.
Lorynn Knepp added on as she posted a pass from Rylee Retherford at 74:22.
Rounding out the scoring for MIfflin County was Hailie Alexander. Alexander scored on a pass from Mackenzie Peachey at 77:55.
Mifflin County outshot CD East 28-2 and in corner opportunities by a 6-1 margin.
Liberty Cook led the Huskies in goal with two saves.
