Mifflin County girls top Lower Dauphin

The MIfflin County girls jumped back into the win column Friday night as they picked up a win over Lower Dauphin, 50-35.

Amelia Leister led her team to the victory posting a game high 16 points on the evening.

Teammate Jaylee Bodtorf followed with a 10-point effort.

Opening the contest, both defenses held tight as MIfflin County was able to outscore Lower Dauphin 7-6.

The Lady Huskies continued its strong defensive performance in the second holding their opponent to only four points while their offense notched 11. Led by Leister’s four points.

MIfflin County held the lead at the intermission, 18-9.

In the third and fourth quarters, the Huskies were able to post 16 points in each quarter. That would be enough to fend off a 24-point fourth quarter comeback attempt by Lower Dauphin.
