Mifflin County JH girls sweep Palmyra
The Mifflin County junior high girls basketball teams avenged losses earlier in the season to Palmyra by sweeping the Cougars at home on Wednesday.
In the varsity game, the Lady Huskies defeated Palmyra 30-17. Layla Fetzer posted a double-double with a game high 11 points and 10 rebounds. Lily Curry scored 6 points and added 4 assists and 3 steals. Maddie Peachey chipped in with 6 points and a strong defensive performance. The team is now 9-2 on the season.
In the JV game, Mifflin County was victorious by a score of 25-17. Gracie Kerstetter had a game high 8 points. Olivia Bedlyon added 7 points and 5 rebounds. Piper Adams and Carson Moore-Aldrich each scored 4 points. The team is now 8-2 on the season.
The Huskies will travel to play Lower Dauphin on Thursday.
