Mifflin County pounds Cedar Cliff with 20-hit performance

 

The MIfflin County softball team climbed up over the .500 mark on the season dropping Cedar Cliff Thursday pounding the Colts 15-3.

Dakota Hershberger blasted a double, a solo home run and a triple. Hershberger came up a single short of hitting for the cycle.

It would be a 9-run third inning that would help lead the Lady Huskies to earn the win.

Mifflin County pounded out 20 hits in the victory.

Malaina Maxwell led all MIfflin County hitters with a 4-for-4 performance, scoring three times.

Arika Henry, Hershberger, Jalee Bodtorf and Alexis O’Brien all finished with three. Henry, Hershberger and Alaina Sharp all tallied four RBIs each.

Mifflin County trailed early 3-0 going into the third when the Lady Huskies exploded for nine.

The trio of Hershberger, Sharp and O’Brien all went yard.
